Atlanta is the world headquarters for the Cable News Network, more often called CNN. It did not receive much attention until during the Gulf War, when CNN reporters were the only American reporters on the scene during the bombing of Baghdad. The reporting gave the network the legitimacy it was missing before. Today, the network has 36 bureaus (10 domestic, 26 international) and more than 900 affiliated local stations. Kindred wanting to control the flow of the information have created a number of ghouls within the company.
