Located between Downtown and Buckhead, Midtown is the second largest financial district of the city. Some of the most iconic buildings of Atlanta are found here, including the Bank of America Plaza (located between Midtown and Downtown), Fox Theater, and the High Museum of Art. There are many busy thoroughfares in the area, especially Peachtree Street. Piedmont Park, an extensive green space, is the focal part of Midtown. Midtown is known as an extremely popular, cosmopolitan and vibrant area for nightlife.
The High Museum of Art serves as one of the city’s Elysiums. It features a permanent collection of 11,000 pieces of art, in addition to numerous temporary exhibits.
